kitsap real estate lawyer

real estate attorney

When people find out I’m an attorney, they almost always ask me what kind of law I practice.  The first thing I tell them is that I’m a real estate attorney. I’ve been practicing law in Kitsap County for over 13 years now: eight years in Silverdale, and five in Poulsbo. During this time, I’ve handled more real estate issues than any other type of law. So what does a real estate attorney do?

Quite a bit.  It turns out that real estate law is extremely diverse and  encompasses a whole variety of different areas. Here are just a few: boundary line issues, adverse possession, title defects and title insurance, property defects, seller misrepresentation claims, trespass, purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, options to purchase, evictions, foreclosures and commercial property transactions. I hope to write about  some of these topics in upcoming blog posts.

One of the fun aspects about practicing real estate law is that every situation is different. I’m guaranteed never to get bored. I love the variety and the fact that just about every real estate situation is unique and requires a custom tailored solution. It also requires a lot of continuous learning. The law changes every day, and that is especially the case with real estate law.

Do you know anyone with a real estate issue, or someone who needs some advice regarding any of the topics described above? Truly, I’m happy to help.
